Mark & Kerry’s Wedding | Suffolk Farm Wedding | Bungay | Suffolk
4th May 2013
Wow!! What a day…Mark and Kerry chose their parents farm for their wedding celebrations. Cows, straw bales, long grass, what else could a photographer wish for?
I met Ashley my assistant for the day on the grounds of Mark’s dads farm. The Marquee looked amazing! Dressed with bunting and perimeters lined with straw bales, I could tell this was going to be the ultimate Suffolk wedding.
Ash and I saw Kerry arrive back from the hairdressers at 9:30, accompanied by her two bridesmaids we were invited inside the farmhouse where Kerry was about to start her bridal preparation with her make-up artist.
After a morning with Kerry and the girls we headed back outside to make our way down to the church, the guests had arrived at the farm and boarded the tractor and trailor to take them the ten minute journey in proper Suffolk farmer style.
The church service was beautifully led by an old friend of the family who came out of retirement for Mark to take their service and a pitch fork guard of honour for their exit at the church.
Kerry and Mark kept up with the theme of a Suffolk farm wedding, their transport back to the farm was a David Brown tractor and a tumble.
After everyone had seated Mark and Kerry had another surprise for one guest per table…Meat Carving! It was so good to see everyone on the table doing their part, sharing the roasts whilst the carver layered each and everyones plates with meat, the atmosphere was amazing it felt like a big family get together sharing and helping.
The evening celebrations started off with an amazing sunset which Kerry and Mark had spoke about and wanting too capture this they didn’t let anything stop them. They allowed 20 minutes with me which also gave them time to spend together and reflect on the days happenings.
I’m sure you’ll agree with me that this was a truly stunning farm wedding, one that I won’t be forgetting for a long time.
Ashley and I would like to wish the new Mr and Mrs Godfrey all the happiness in the world, and take this opportunity once again to thank you for letting us be a part of your day.
